We report structural and electrochemical properties of nanostructured cobalt free La2CuMnO6 synthesized via facile hydrothermal process. The X-ray diffraction shows formation of pervoskite orthorhombic crystal phase with Pbnm symmetry and lattice parameters as a=5.526 Å, b=5.482 Å and c=7.653 Å, respectively. The Xray photoelectron spectroscopy exhibits the presence of La3+, Cu2+, and Mn3+/Mn4+ ions on the surface of La2CuMnO6. The electrochemical performance of nanostructured cobalt free La2CuMnO6 investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronopotentiometry techniques exhibit pseudo capacitive nature of the cobalt free La2CuMnO6. The calculated value of specific capacitance is 205.5 F/g at current density of 0.25 A/g; with ~78% specific capacitance retention, after 1000 cycles at 1.50 A/g.
