The effect of pressure on the resistivity and compressibility on Al2(WO4)3 has been investigated. AC resistivity measurements have shown that the resistance values are strongly frequency dependent and show an anomalous change at about 5 kbar. Compressibility measurements also show an inflection at about 5 kbar in the pressure derivative of the volume compression data, which is found to be reversible. Both the measurements indicate the occurrence of a reversible phase transformation in Al2(WO4)3 at about 5 kbar.
