ABSTRACT

The paper presents the results of gamma spectrometric analysis of enhanced natural radioactivity levels in construction materials. Enhanced radioactivity levels in these materials are due to the use of phosphogypsum (CaSO4·2H2O), by-product formed during production of phosphoric acid in fertilizer industry and fly ash, a by-product of coal fired thermal power plant.
