ABSTRACT

Photostimulated luminescence (PSL) of CsBr1 – xClx:Eu2 + system has been studied for different europium concentrations. Two types of F centers have been formed due to bromide ion vacancy and chloride ion vacancy. The formation of Eu3 + has been confirmed by optical absorption studies. PSL of CsBr1 – xClx:Eu3 + is found to exhibit bands at 415, 420, 440 and 470 nm. The results are presented and discussed in this paper.
